About Gibraltar
Gibraltar is unique — a British Overseas Territory on the tip of the Iberian Peninsula, where Barbary macaques roam the cliffs, wartime tunnels run through the Rock, two seas meet in the Strait below, and you can see Africa on a clear day. It is one of the world's great travel experiences, yet relatively few visitors make the short trip from the Costa del Sol.

Best Time to Visit
Year-round. October to April for clearest views. Summer can be crowded with cruise ship visitors.
Getting There
Gibraltar Airport has flights from the UK. Alternatively cross the border from La Linea de la Concepción. Walk across the airport runway on foot.
Local Tips
Walk through, don't drive — traffic on the Rock is a nightmare. Take the cable car up and walk down via the Mediterranean Steps for the best experience. Visit on a weekday to avoid day-tripper crowds.
